Sappy

So, in my spare time, in between work and responsibilities, I record music on my laptop.

Think of it as synth-rock for indie-rock kids who secretly like cock-rock.

Or cock-rock for synth-rock kids who secretly like indie-rock.

Or any variation thereof.

Anyway, it’s instrumental stuff that I like.

Sappy – Airplanes and Other Places (via YSI)

I recorded all of the songs over the past 18 months in various places, including on airplanes and, well, other places… At any given time I was thinking about/trying to rip off/inspired by Air, Mogwai, 80’s synth rock, Postal Service, LCD Soundsystem, Brian Eno, Aphex Twin and various other sounds in my head.

I hope you enjoy it.

Added 6/24/08: I also have some more guitar-oriented songs, which I record under the name Supergoat, here.

I am also now the guitarist for My Music Atlas.

Here’s a Christmas song:
“Hark the Synthy Angels Sing”
