Good morning. Did you notice that Wax Fang is playing on Thursday at the Creepy Crawl with The Whigs? You may remember Wax Fang from their opening set for My Morning Jacket at The Pageant in ’06. I adore them, and would love to see you put a little blurb in your blog about the show in the next couple of days.

Greetings!

I am with an Austin-based band that is looking for increased exposure with bloggers (I found you through covertcuriosity. com). I could not find contact info on this page, so I am posting here…

Our new album, out April 15th, was recorded by producer John Congleton (The Paper Chase, Explosions in the Sky, The Polyphonic Spree). Our music has been described as “female-fronted, dark violin burlesque dance rock. ”

Our accomplishments include being named 3rd Best Experimental Band (behind Ghostland Observatory and The Octopus Project!), 4th Best Industrial/Goth Band, 5th Best Novelty Band, and 9th Best None of the Above Band in the Austin Chronicle Muisc Poll (2007).

Any information that you could give us about getting involved with your blog would be helpful. If we could send you a link to listen to our album, that would be excellent. Of course, some tunes are located on our myspace page.

Hey, I love your site.

I was selected by My Morning Jacket to receive a “Listening Party Package” of Evil Urges a few weeks before the album comes out. I’m trying to come up with a good bar that would be willing to set aside some time to preview the album. Plus I figure you could help to get the word out on your blog to any area MMJ fans. Do you have any interest in teaming up with me on this?

Shame Club will be playing two shows next weekend.
Saturday May 31 we will play a two set bill for FREE at the Feisty Bulldog on the Landing. No cover, no opening band, no bullshit. Shame Club will play two sets for approximately two hours of music. I repeat, this ones free.
Sunday June 1 (the very next day) we will play at Blueberry Hill’s Duck Room for the 2008 RFT Music Awards. Shame Club is nominated in the catergories for Best Hard Rock/Metal Band and Best Local Release On a Label for our newest album “Come On” (Small Stone Records).
We would appreciate it if you could find time and space to mention these two shows and the national/international re-release of our album (official release date 05/20/08).
For our independant release you posted a pretty cool video of us at the undercover weekend. If you feel like posting anything there are quite a few new videos on youtube including a couple of songs from sxsw 2008 and a couple of songs from a show we played at the Charlack Pub a few months ago.

We are an emerging band out of St. Louis who is beginning to receive national attention for our upcoming debut release, Ten Thousand Tongues, to be released on June 20th at Blueberry Hill. We would love to send you a copy of the EP or send you several mp3’s to post if you are interested. The EP has been described as equal parts Arcade Fire, Radiohead and Bob Dylan.

I really enjoy your blog. I just wanted to let you know about my band High on Stress. We are from Minneapolis. I think there’s a good possibility that you might like our stuff. Let me know if you would like me to send you an MP3 of a brand new song that is going to be on our album coming out at the end of the summer. If you end up liking it please write write about it. Hey, this is kind of odd but I’m taking a class called online journalism at MU and one of the things we have to do is either get other people to blog for us or take existing blogs and publish them. I was hoping I could use your Wolf Parade review for this assignment. I’d just copy and paste your review onto http://www.mymissourian.com, give you full credit and put a link to your blog. It’d be a good way to expose this great blog to a different audience and I would really appreciate it. I’m going to post this to the comment page for the review too because I don’t know how often you check this page.

Have you heard of Math You? He’s from St. Louis, and he’s really good! Does a lot of layered acoustic instrumental stuff. He told me he’s a big Minus the Bear fan, interestingly enough. Anyway, he’s playing at The Chapel this coming Saturday at 8 pm. You should come. Search for his My Space–you’ll see.
