Earthworms CD release show at Lucas School HouseJanuary 23, 2008
I’m sick and a touch lazy right now, so I’ll take it straight from the press release:
On Friday, January 25 at Lucas School House in Soulard, St. Louis hip-hop group Earthworms will host a party to release their highly anticipated second album, Bottle Full of Bourbon. Like the record itself, the show promises to be a feast for the senses. Earthworms will perform a full set with a live band, featuring an all-star cast of local musicians including Dave Grelle (The Feed) on keys and Jeremy West on guitars, Gavin Duffy on bass, Grover Stewart (Ralph Butler Band) on drums, and a horn section featuring Terry Grohman (Boogie Chyld) and Ben Reece (The Feed). Local artists Midwest Avengers and 40 til’ five are also on the bill, along with Columbia, MO hip-hop titan Steddy P.
As if that wasn’t enough, the show will also feature live art performances by Calc2 and Plastic and on-demand T-shirt screen printing by Ben Shepard and Ben Goeke. Released by F5 Records and recorded in “the Cooler” studio with producer Jonathan Toth from Hoth, Bottle Full of Bourbon is the follow-up to No Arms, No Legs, Just a Head and a Body, Earthworms’ popular and critically acclaimed debut release. The new record consists of 17 fresh Earthworms tracks and features the lyrical stylings of Mathias, Kama and Black Patrick, along with scratching by DJ Mahf, beats by the nationally acclaimed DJ Crucial, and cover artwork provided Jim Mahfood and Jose Garibaldi of 40 oz. comics.
